We had a great turnout for our annual SMC Christmas Party in Rome with members from all associate chapters, SMCBirmingham, SMCCarrollton, SMCCHattanooga, SMCHuntsville and SMCMarietta, attending! A “HUGE THANKS” to Roy and Pam Chapman for hosting the pre-dinner gathering at their home Saturday afternoon before dinner!! It was fun hanging out with friends, a fire, finger foods, beverages, a ballgame, show and tell and a mini version of a tech day with Erik’s ’47 knuckle head. A discussion on the best approach to repairing a loose intake nipple on Erik’s rear head ensued.

Downtown Rome for dinner at El Zarape restaurant. Good food, good fun and even a surprise give away drawing to the lucky winner Big C (Cecil Frost)!! Joe Morris donated an AMCA logo that he made with his plasma cutter for the drawing. Nice job Joe! Big C even got another “special” surprise from Joe for being the winner!!!
An after dinner stop at Rome City Brewing Co. led to more fun and games!
At the hotel during a bit of “lounging”, another surprise gift was given by Erik Bahl and the recipient was Danny Eubanks! Danny was most qualified for the “multi purpose tool”, after a brief survey was taken, when it was discovered that he plays the banjo and was in need of a clutch hub retaining tool to remove the hub nut from his Harley transmissions.
